First of all, I want to say hello and thank you for your curiosity to know me a little more. I am in a new stage that brings together different changes such as my pregnancy, but for this you must first know my beginnings and in this way you will finally be able to understand my work and technique.

Hello, my name is Paola Milan. I was born in Mexico City, I have lived in Madrid for sixteen years. I have been painting since I was a child (a true topic, but it is reality), when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always: - "I'm going to be a painter!" - My mother asked, "Broad brush?". I remember when I won a contest in fourth grade, at the age of nine, a painting of a marine made with an invented technique, where I mixed toothpaste with colored ink !!!

About that age I received drawing classes in which I showed skill with oil pastels, then I switched to oil trying to represent the human figure, I also experimented with mixed techniques, works made with elements of nature, such as seeds, earth, sand, etc. and all of this lasted a few years.

During the University I learned other techniques, such as gouache, screen printing, photography, airbrushing, acrylics, digital techniques and a mix of all of these.

When I was 23 years old, I decided to come to Madrid, upon finishing my studies as a Graphic Design graduate at CDMX, and after two masters in Madrid, Digital Business / Advertising Production, and with fifteen years of professional experience working for large corporations such as Inditex, Banco Santander and Tendam, I decided to turn my life around and be my own boss, this is where my NEW STAGE begins, turning to my family, art and a way of life where beauty and creativity are part of the day to day, doing something that allows me to shine with total freedom.

I consider myself a mixed media artist since I paint with acrylics, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, oil, with textures created with sand, fabrics, etc. or only visual textures created with colors and shapes.

I am a lover of aesthetics and styling, and I love interior design. My work focuses on helping to create a unique, special, and sometimes personalized piece. By painting, I am not only creating a unique work of art, but I am creating an intention, that of sharing energy through each piece, spreading confidence, strength, joy, and more ... - And it works! We are energy! - Everything is energy, even my works of art!

I share a little more about my work in this INTERVIEW for 123 ART Magazine, which they did to me last summer of 2020.

Thank you for reading me and for your interest in my work, thanks to you I can continue with my passion in art giving life to those spaces making them more special.
